Spotted lanternflies are confirmed in Woodstock
Woodstock says spotted lanternflies have been found in town, adding a local dimension to an invasive-pest problem that can affect apples, grapes, gardens and outdoor equipment. Connecticut DEEP asks residents in Windham County to photograph and report sightings through the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station form. The Town did not publish a count or specific locations, so residents should use the state identification guidance rather than assuming every look-alike insect is a lanternfly.
