QCQuiet Corner Brief

About

A weekly look at the Quiet Corner

Free to read, free to be listed in, and put together by hand every week.

What this is

The Quiet Corner Brief gathers what's happening across these towns into one place: events, farmers markets, town news, local businesses and a few written guides. Listings are opened and checked before they go up, anything we can't confirm is marked as unconfirmed rather than guessed at, and nothing appears on the site until someone has read it.

Why it exists

Plenty happens here every week and it's scattered across town websites, flyers and a dozen different social pages. This is an attempt to save people that hunt — and to give small businesses, bakeries, makers and market vendors somewhere to be found without paying for the privilege.

If something's missing, send it over. You can send a tip or an event, add your business to the directory, or share a local photo — we credit every photo we use.

Who's behind it

The Quiet Corner Brief is built and run by Big Cat Marketing Group. We pay for it, write it and keep it current week after week — partly because the area deserves something like it, and partly because it's an honest example of the kind of website and online promotion we build for businesses. Everything you see here — the pages, the directory, the sign-up forms, the behind-the-scenes review tools — we built.

If you're weighing up a new site or want your business found online, have a look around first, then say hello.
