Day Kimball receives $20.2 million in first-year rural-health funding
Day Kimball Health says it received approval for $20.2 million in Year 1 funding through the federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program. The announced workstreams cover advanced imaging, digital infrastructure, oncology, convenient care, and virtual-health and tele-specialty services. Individual projects will move on different planning, purchasing, renovation and implementation schedules, so the award is not evidence that a particular service or construction project is complete. For northeastern Connecticut, the practical promise is broader local access to diagnostics and specialty care, with timelines still to be announced.
